A life that lights you up.

A life that lights you up.

A life that lights you up.

A life that lights you up – what does that mean? In my automatic writing today, I decided to have a chat with my light.

I sat down to have a chat with the light inside of me and this is what it shared.

I'm glad you've paused to notice me. I'm your loving guide shining brightly in the background illuminating your way.

I remember when you were born my light shone out of your eyes so brightly it stopped people in their tracks and for a moment, they felt their light too.

I remember those early days when my light shone a little too brightly for some and you began to hide me.

I remember the day that the veils became just too thick, and you forgot about me.

Instead, you turned to your mind to navigate life.

Instead, you let your beliefs about yourself, and the world be your unreliable guides.

Instead, you listened to your inner disturbances, and you believed they had a truth to tell.

Of course, there were times that the veils lifted, and my light radiated out, but the veils descended again.

I remember that drive to say goodbye and your dad's parting soul lifted the veils as his spirit soared - I don't think my light had ever shone so bright. It’s okay that you didn’t understand, and the veils settled back again.

That glimpse did ignite a remembering in you and I watched patiently as you set off on a quest to find your light in the world. Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh. I knew you'd be okay and that you had more experience to go through until you remembered me fully.

I shone inside of you, under the veils, during good times and bad – through it all.

I called you back to remember.

I whispered, 'Wake up and notice me’.

I guided you outward to the right people, places and books and also inward until the day you met me fully again.

On that day there were no fireworks (I know you wanted them).

For you, it was more like that feeling of searching and searching for something and finding it in the most obvious place.

It was like slipping into a warm bath or your favourite comfy clothes.

It was like standing in nature and being with the beauty, sacredness, and ordinariness of it.

It was like a belly laugh with your best friends.

It was like a snuggle on the sofa with your partner.

It was like an 'I love you' from your children.

Anyway, you know what it was like, you were there.

I've watched, since that day, as you’ve stepped into the process of enlightening, continuing to remove the finer veils, dust and debris of the programming of forgetting.

It's a fine mission and one you take seriously.

But best of all, I've watched my light shine out of you and ripple out into the world.

I know you don't always believe that you are doing it right or you are doing enough but let me tell you that my light is meant for sharing in and with the word- I really don't mind what form it takes.

All that I ask is that you allow it to shine.

All my love your light x.
